Description
In this two day oil painting class, students will work step-by-step on a large pet portrait of their choice. Using a 30x30 canvas, oil paints, and a photo reference we will spend Saturday sketching out our pets on canvas, focusing on drawing/proportions and getting our values correct. Let your painting dry for the week, then come back the following Saturday, April 12th, to get right back into it! We will focus on laying in our color during our second session while staying consistent with our values, and creating descriptive mark making. A final critique at the end of the day will guide you and give you direction for finishing up your piece at home, if needed.
